Anne bakes the best scones. We usually get a plate full from her once a week. Usually they come straight out of the oven so they are still a bit warm. They are simple fruit scones. Nothing fancy, and that is why I love them so much. Guess she bakes them all her life once a week, and I bet she has the recipe in her head. Must be something like flour, pinch of salt, baking soda and milk or buttermilk and raisins. Mixed all together to a soft dough. Cut into scones and baked in a hot oven.
Nothing better than a "cuppa" with a fresh baked scone with butter and jam.
